The meteorite iron core receives high-standard nickel plating, with dual-sided sapphire glass lamination and an outer metal frame forming a multi-layer protection system. Normal wear and storage are safe, but prolonged immersion and chemical cleaners should still be avoided to preserve stability.
Meteorites formed about 4.55 billion years ago and are natural materials from asteroids in the solar system. Public scientific references show that radioactive-element levels in meteorites are extremely low, far below those of many common terrestrial rock samples; iron meteorites are lower still. The meteorite material used here does not present a radiation hazard and is harmless for normal wear.
